This week I hiked the beautiful Scuppernong Prairie in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit. If you’re camping in Pine Woods or Ottawa Lake campgrounds, I highly recommend this hike. It winds through small wooded areas, huge prairies dotted with Burr Oaks and a rocky area that has several rare ferns.

  1. I love that area for hiking and also cross country skiing. I haven’t done this particular trail, so I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m there. Great pictures!
